Historique :	Charles Octave Blanchard (1814-1842), élève de Cogniet. Toile concédée par la Restauration, sur la demande du vicomte Both de Tauzia. Blanchard obtint avec cette toile le 2e prix au concours pour Rome. Tableau placé au Musée de Bordeaux après la restauration de 1962 ou 1963.

Précision sur_l'état :	Restauration en 1962 ou 1963.
Précision_sur la protection :	M. James (inspecteur des Monuments historiques) suggère en 1996 que les quatre toiles classées de l'église de Parempuyre seraient propriété de l'Etat par le musée du Louvre. Elles ont été l'objet d'une concession en date du 8 septembre 1820 sur demande du vicomte Both de Tauzia, enregistrées (Arch. du Louvre, 3 DD3) sous les numéros suivants : - 4942-114 Saint Pierre, -4943-119 Vierge à l'Enfant, - 5018-419 Tobie guérissant son père, - 5143-999 Les Quatre Evangélistes.
